He was born blind in one eye and reads in 15 to 20 minute blocks of time because of eye strain. Brimner received his B.A. in 1971 and his M.A. in 1981, both form San Diego State University. He was a writing teacher at Central Union High School in El Centro, California from 1974 to 1984, He went on to lecture at San Diego State University from 1984 to 1991. Since 1985, Brimner has been a freelance writer. When he is not at his computer writing, he enjoys landscaping, cooking, riding his mountain bike and working with mosaic tile. Brimner lives most of the year in San Diego, California but is a frequent visitor to a writing studio in the Sonoran desert of Southern Arizona. Updating Results ...
