General Search Tips
Begin your search by selecting just one search field, using one or two words "all of these" as the search
parameter. The search results returned will contain all of the searched for words within the selected
field. If you select "any of these" as the search parameter, then the results returned will contain any of
the searched for words within the selected field. If "as a phrase" is selected, the results returned will
be an exact match to the text in the search for field.

Boolean logic consist of three operators:
AND
OR
NOT
Each operator is described below:
Example: alligator and crocodile in the title |
In this search, the results would contain the titles in which both
of the searched words are present. The results would not contain any records with only alligator in the title or only crocodile in the title. The Boolean expression AND narrows your search. |
|
OR
Example: alligator or crocodile in the title |
In this search, the results would contain the titles in which at least
one of the searched for words is present. The Boolean expression OR broadens your search. |
|
NOT
Example: alligator not crocodile in title |
In this search, the results would contain the titles in which only the first searched
for word is present. The boolean expression NOT works very much as you would expect it to. The word following NOT must not appear in the searched for field. |
