School Library Journal - 10/18/2024 K-Gr 3— Punxsutawney Phil is getting ready for his big moment as a groundhog. His family is excited for him, but Phil is apprehensive. He tries making pancakes, his little sister tries coaching him, his mom tries to help, but he's still anxious. Finally, his big moment arrives and Phil realizes he really wants assistance, so he asks his little sister to be a part of the spotlight. The adorable artwork shows anthropomorphized groundhogs in their cozy burrow and perfectly captures Phil's jitters and the loving support of his family. This will be a delightful addition to picture books about the holiday. VERDICT A great choice for libraries needing stories on the topic of Groundhog's Day.—Debbie Tanner - Copyright 2024 Publishers Weekly, Library Journal and/or School Library Journal used with permission.
