Through vivid storytelling, Poppy's mother recounts precious memories cued by specific fabric patterns: gardening with her grandmother in plaid; adventures with her dad in chevron prints. The colorful, geometric illustrations bring the bold fabrics to life and appear textured and almost realistic enough to touch.
