Full Text Reviews:

School Library Journal - 01/15/2021 Gr 6–8—This title attempts to put the ignorance, stereotypes, assumptions, and fears that many have about Islam into perspective so that readers can learn how to handle Islamophobia. Saleh talks directly to young Muslims, but at times, she addresses youngsters who are not Muslim. For example, the text includes a question asked by a child who thinks it's unfair that some Muslim students come late to class because they take the time to pray at lunch. The text clearly sets its intention of addressing readers who are Muslim. The book is meant to empower, with solid explanations and tips on how to cope and stand up for themselves. The colorful illustrations provide a vibrant aesthetic. VERDICT An additional purchase.—Esther Keller, I.S. 278, Brooklyn - Copyright 2021 Publishers Weekly, Library Journal and/or School Library Journal used with permission.
