School Library Journal - 02/01/2016 PreS-Gr 2—A fun and nostalgic look at families and summer vacation. This is a lighthearted and simple story depicting family members enjoying one another and leisure activities such as fishing, camping, boating, etc., while at a family reunion. Palacios depicts the characters with strong resemblances, from their red hair to the freckles sprinkled across their faces. Quaint, full-spread illustrations done in earth tone colors extend the easy, straightforward text.
