A moat, an enormous room with a chandelier, hidden passages, a cave full of bats, and a screaming ghost enhance the setting. While cleaning up the playhouse in the garden, the children discover a trap door that leads to a secret tunnel. Determined to discover the source of the screams, the enterprising sleuths investigate.
