Booklist - 04/15/2015 After playing a part in a disastrous wedding, Sadie has been let go from her mom’s party planning business. To regain her mother’s respect, she decides to start her own party business, RSVP, with three friends. This new endeavor teaches each girl to step outside her comfort zone: boy-crazy Becca spends more time on her music, tomboy Vi finds it’s okay to go girly, and Lauren puts down the SAT prep books and has some fun. Most of all, Sadie learns the meaning of friendship and how to be an entrepreneur. This is the best kind of adolescent fantasy—enough independence to be yourself, but enough support, in the form of friends, to take risks. The chapters alternate with each girl playing narrator, and the text sounds very today, which will make this even more relatable.
