School Library Journal - 12/08/2023 PreS-K—In this latest addition to the "Daniel Tiger" book series, Daniel learns that giving gifts means more when they come from the heart. Daniel Tiger and Miss Elaina are playing together when Miss Elaina unexpectedly gives Daniel a toy robot as a gift. There is no background for why Miss Elaina gives Daniel a gift, but Daniel becomes panicked trying to find something to give her in return. With encouragement from his mom, Daniel creates a homemade gift for his friend. She is elated by the gesture. Digital images from the television show accompany simple words with large, easy-to-read font that will entice beginning readers, though the story is lacking.
